This private library has the most documents on the subjects in France : 150 000 printed documents (XVIth – XXth century), 20 000 manuscrits, 1 700 periodicals. It is open from Tuesday to Saturday (2-6 pm). It is shut from the 1st August until the beginning of Septembrer ; it is possible to consult documents in the library and buy a reader’s card. It also contains a Museum (visit by appointment only) where there are pictures, prints, medals and Protestant souvenirs. It is possible to borrow objects from these collections for temporary exhibitions in other museums both in France and abroad.
